Rhiwbina panto returns for second year of fun

Following last year’s huge success, Rhiwbina Friends of Tenovus pantomime will be once again featuring members of the local community as well as members of Cardiff North Sing with Us Choir.

‘Back to the Wenallt’ is an entertaining story with famous fairy tale characters played by well-known faces in the community. It stars Ashley Niko Putland as Magnificent Maleficient, Jayne Cowan as the Wicked Witch of Cardiff North and there are also special guest appearances by Peter Karrie – (Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables). Millie Davies, a local singing sensation, will also be performing along with a host of other Rhiwbina characters including members of Tenovus’ Cardiff North ‘Sing With Us Choir’.

Writer and organiser Anthea Parker told Rhiwbina Living:

“We had such a laugh putting on the show last year. It was great to see community relationships being forged through the whole process too. We are so thrilled to have Peter on board this year. We’ve also a great local talent in Milly Davies, who has been in pantomime in Northampton. Supporting us will be Cardiff North Sign With Us Choir who practice in Rhiwbina.”

Tickets will be available within a week and there are two special gala performances on Friday March 1st and Saturday March 2nd to celebrate St David’s Day.

There will also be a matinee on the Saturday and an Open Dress Rehearsal performance for public viewing on Tuesday 26th February. For further information or to reserve tickets contact Charlotte in Rhiwbina Tenovus Shop or the Box Office on 07789 448277.
