Michelle Marshall Salon: Spring 2024

There’s a spring in the step of staff at Michelle Marshall Salon this season.

As winter melts away, Rhiwbina’s 5-star salon has had a little bit of a spring clean, with well-known faces becoming acquainted in their new roles.

“Salon favourite Jaime has now become our Master Stylist,” says salon manager Jess. “Jaime has been with us for a long time and is now able to bring all those years of experience to his clients. Styling hair is in Jaime’s blood and we’ve all learnt something from in the time that he’s been working here.”

There have also some other appointments to the team: apprentice Charlotte has been proving that she is keen to learn while Molly is moving quickly up the ranks as their upcoming stylist. Consistent training is part of their work and they are always striving to learn and improve.

“Michelle herself embodies this ethos – she has been travelling internationally, both teaching masterclasses and learning from other fellow Redken artists,” says Jess. “Her recent work has taken her as far as Oslo and Switzerland.”

Famed for their exceptional hair styling, Michelle Marshall Salon take pride in devoting the time to find out what customers want and need, before picking up a pair of scissors:

“During your in-depth hair consultation, we will analyse your hair, discuss your hair history, your daily hair routines, and hair goals. After this, we will come up with some ideas for hairstyles and colours that will truly suit you. We will also carry out allergy skin tests if you are planning a hair colour service,” says Jess.

Regular customers might have also noticed a new look to staff members.

“We thought we’d upgrade our aprons, which add functionality with a touch of glamour! We decided on a cool monochromatic vibe!”

As well as the 5-star customer styling service, the team has also added a new premium hair product to their shelves.

“Redken’s new Acidic Color Gloss range is the latest innovation in colour care; it extends colour and provides a salon-like shine,” says Jess. “It gives you long-lasting colour vibrancy because it locks in intense molecular-level shine for up to 76% shinier hair. The acidic pH formula, along with amino acids and vitamin E, help seal the cuticle and lock in shine to protect colour from fading, and to protect from dulling that can be caused by water and heat.

The product is only available in-store

“It’s only been launched to salons so you can only get it in-store – pop in if you’d like to give it a go. This range is perfect for adding that extra bit of luxury into your self-care routine.”

The team’s aim is to make every client feel special, no matter what their age.

“With the warmer months on their way, we’ve got everything you need to look and feel beautiful,” says Jess. “Whether that’s brows and lashes, waxing, nails, LED light treatment, or even a spray tan, we make sure that you are totally happy before you leave.

“We’re always looking at ways to bring happiness to the faces of our clients – we’ve even introduced head spas, which are great for scalp conditions, cleansing, and hair stimulation. We use aromatherapy, steam, and Redken products for amazing hair. The fact that it’s relaxing, relieves head tension, and is a mind-clearing experience is a great bonus!” says Jess.

It looks like it’s going to be a fantastic year ahead at Michelle Marshall Salon.
