Let’s save our precious planet together

climate-change

My name is Ffion M. Marshall. I’m 11 years old and I’m extremely passionate about climate change.

Climate change is a deadly cause and the biggest challenge to the world and humankind. Unfortunately, global warming and climate change are results of human behaviour and we need to do something about it.

There are many children that are passionate about climate change just like me, but don’t know how to help. Well, there are many things you can do to help save the world, no matter how small it is.

It could be from getting more recyclable products to eating a bit less meat. Without a doubt, it all counts, so even making sure that you put products into the right bin contributes to helping the world become a better place.

Every month I will write in with a new article and tip to help your home become as much of a carbon-free zone as it can be. My tip for this month is to cut down on the crisp packaging you use.

Now, normally in most children’s lunch boxes there is a packet of crisps. And once the child has finished them where does it go? The waste bin.

So the way you save that from happening is getting just one big bag of crisps. Then you can take some out, put it in a pot and pop it in your lunch box. Easy!

And that means that you’re quartering the amount of the crisp packaging plastic you use. Also, that contributes for the better even more, because it takes longer to get through a big packet of crisps so you won’t be buying one a day!
