Rhiwbina Civic Society has announced its Spring programme of events as life in the village begins to return to normal following the pandemic.
The society meets each third Tuesday evening of the month at 7.30 pm with a presentation on a topic, usually of local interest. Currently, they meet on Zoom but they hope to return to face-to-face meetings at Canolfan Beulah in the near future.
The future programme is as follows:
15 March: Cardiff Castle through the Ages – Richard Britton
12 April: Annual Lunch – in Caffe Fach, Heol Llanishen Fach
17 May: Pengam Airport: The very early days of aviation in Cardiff – Mario Greening.
21 June: An Edwardian Maid – A day in the life of the housemaids and footmen in a big house – Debra John
Date to be confirmed: Nantgarw China Works and Museum.
Recent talks have included: Richard Burton, Welsh Choirs, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) at Penarth, Ruperra Castle (see photo) and Cardiff Rugby Fans.
