According to a recent article in The Sunday Times, Rhiwbina has been recognised as one of the best places to live in the UK.

The article, published online in March, described Rhiwbina as a ‘model new town in the Welsh capital’ that is the ‘ideal suburb to make a capital, family-friendly investment.’

The article highlighted Rhiwbina’s history, including the opening of the garden village in 1913, as well as its convenient location, strong transport connections, and many local amenities. Many of the village’s local businesses were also mentioned.

The judges said that the garden village area of Rhiwbina was designed as a healthy alternative to the overcrowded inner city, with its simple, well-planned houses with gardens, fresh air and plenty of space – and it still offers a blueprint for healthy, happy urban living.

Rhiwbina was listed as one of seven locations in Wales to make the list, joining the Gower Peninsula (which won top spot), Swansea, Crickhowell, Maenclochog, Penarth, Presteigne, and the Vale of Clwyd.
