Rhiwbina Living Autumn: Read It Here

Rhiwbina Living

Autumn in the village is perhaps the most delightful season of the year. We’re guessing that it comes down to the fact that everyone is busying themselves preparing for the oncoming winter.

Rounds the houses too, where chimneys smoke and the warm waft of casseroles drifts down the lanes, one gets a sense of preparation too. The garden furniture is packed away for another year, the seasoned logs are stacked under the leans tos and the lights glow from the windows.

With all that in mind, we’ve got some delightful stories and features to keep you occupied while the autumn storms rage outside.

On page 8, we join in the celebrations with one of Rhiwbina’s favourite landmarks – the Juboraj, which celebrates its 25th birthday this year. On page 13, we speak exclusively to this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winners, Collabro. And on page 16, we hear from Rhiwbina’s Brian Mead, whose story is both remarkable and true!

Local vet Chris Troughton answers your pet questions on page 25 while Keith Flynn OBE, returns to our pages with a brief history of Canton Chapel, which used to serve the worshippers of North Cardiff. There’s a spooky autumn tale on page 29 and on page 30, there are some warming soup recipes to welcome you home after a hard day’s work.

Believe it or not, next stop is winter.

See you then!
