One of Rhiwbina’s most-loved shops has closed its doors for the last time.
Wine Store at Number 4 was a popular destination for many Rhiwbina locals. The news was posted on Rhiwbina Village Events Facebook page.
They said:
“Rhiwbina has lost a little treasure of a business in the village. The Wine Store at Number 4 has ceased trading. It provided a friendly unique hub for local people to just pop into and enjoy a fabulous glass of something and on festival days, they helped transform Beulah Road providing drinks and a place for people to stop and catch up or watch the live bands. We are very lucky to have so many independent businesses in Rhiwbina but losing The Wine Store is a stark reminder just how hard it is to survive as a small independent business and how we must all support and shop local when we can. Their knowledge of wine was extensive, their welcome wonderful and their pop-ups just the best. I will miss them, my mates will miss them but grateful to them that they came to Rhiwbina and gave it a go. We wish David, Carl and Sion all the very best.”
