Have you heard about the G1?

I am contacting you as a Whitchurch resident who would like to bring to the attention of your readers, the G1 Gwaelod-y-Garth bus service that connects Whitchurch and Llandaff North to the Heath Hospital.
Living in Whitchurch, I only found out by chance, that this service exists. I’m now using the bus regularly, as the 13:55 to the Heath, from Whitchurch Library and the 15:47 return from the Heath Hospital coincides with Hospital visiting hours. The bus avoids taking the car and parking in a notoriously difficult hospital!
I’m amazed that usually I’m the only person on the bus, in both directions! No one knows about this route – it’s a secret service!
If this service was routed via Velindre Hospital and, or through Whitchurch village, many more bus stops could be served. There appears to be no advertising on the bus stops. I want to highlight the convenience that this service provides.
Last, but not least the two drivers Paul and Ahmed are both friendly and chatty and pleased to see folks getting on the bus.
