The Curry Life Awards 2025 took place in October at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in Mayfair, London and Rhiwbina’s Juboraj came away with a national award.

The event celebrated the culinary heroes of the British Asian restaurant industry, highlighting the excellence, innovation, and unwavering spirit of the sector.

A total of 39 awards were presented nationally this year in different categories, including Best Restaurant, Best Chef, Best Newcomer, Editor’s Choice, and Best Takeaways.

Juboraj, which opened its doors in 1989, was crowned winner of Curry Life Editor’s Choice Award 2025, one of five such restaurants selected nationally.

Juboraj’s Ana Miah said:

“Winning this prestigious Curry Life Award is truly humbling and incredibly motivating for everyone at Juboraj Rhiwbina. It’s a powerful validation of our commitment to culinary excellence and the strong bonds we share with our customers.

“This recognition, especially coming from a voting system that reflects the support of our community, is the ultimate honour and inspires us to continue delivering exceptional experiences.”

It’s not the first award that Juboraj Rhiwbina has won in its long-standing residency in the village. The much-loved restaurant has also received accolades over the years, including Best Indian Restaurant in Wales at the British Curry Awards on more than one occasion.

Celebrities and well-known faces have also dined at Juboraj’s popular venue, including the then Prime Minister John Major in 1997. Music and sports legends have also sampled the ‘Jubs’ experience.

Beyond its culinary achievements, the restaurant is also renowned for its strong community spirit, sponsoring local football, rugby, and cricket teams, as well as supporting the Rhiwbina village festivals and other community initiatives.
