Hailey Park upgrades completed

Hailey Park Llandaff

Work to upgrade the section of the Taff Trail running through Hailey Park in Llandaff North has now been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone for active travel in the area.

The improved section of the trail is wider, safer, and more accessible than before, while carefully blending into the park’s natural setting. The new path broadly follows the alignment of its predecessor, and was constructed using a no-dig method specifically chosen to protect the root systems of established trees and preserve the local habitats that make Hailey Park such a valued green space.

To mark the completion of this important community project, a gathering was held bringing together Councillors, council officers, Knights Brown contractors, and pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf. The occasion was a chance to celebrate the delivery of an improved active travel route that will benefit walkers, cyclists, and residents for years to come.

Work on the path first got underway in autumn 2025, and its completion represents the successful delivery of an upgrade that balances the needs of trail users with a strong commitment to environmental sensitivity.
